Sales Development Manager

You will be responsible for identifying potential clients, initiating conversations, and qualifying opportunities to build a healthy and predictable sales pipeline.


This position is designed as an entry point into a long term commercial career path. Strong performers will progressively take on broader commercial responsibility, with the opportunity to manage complete sales processes and close strategic agreements.


Core Responsibilities

• Proactively source new opportunities through outbound outreach including calls, targeted email sequences, social selling, industry networking and referrals

• Secure introductory meetings and solution briefings for senior commercial colleagues

• Establish credibility and nurture early stage relationships with prospective organisations

• Conduct structured market research to identify relevant decision makers and buying committees

• Maintain detailed and accurate records of outreach, engagement and pipeline progression in the CRM system

• Partner closely with marketing and senior sales leadership to refine positioning and improve campaign impact

• Stay informed about developments in technology driven solutions, including artificial intelligence applications relevant to regulated industries

• Relay structured market feedback to support product positioning and go to market evolution

• Support additional commercial initiatives as required


Career Development

This role offers a clearly defined progression path into a senior commercial function. As performance milestones are achieved, you will gradually assume responsibility for managing full deal cycles, including negotiation and closing of larger accounts.


Profile Requirements


Education and Experience

• University degree or comparable professional experience preferred

• Initial experience in B2B sales, lead generation or commercial development is advantageous

• Demonstrated ability to conduct consistent outbound activity and generate qualified meetings


Personal Competencies

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Confident engaging senior stakeholders via phone and digital channels

• Persistent and comfortable handling rejection in a target driven environment

• Highly organised with effective prioritisation skills

• Able to operate independently in a fast paced, performance oriented setting

• Interest in emerging technologies and their impact on knowledge intensive industries

• Willingness to attend selected industry events when required

• Professional fluency in English
