Overview

A European and US-based provider of Marketing Communication, Audio Visual, and Learning & Development language solutions & consultancy is seeking an accomplished Business Development Manager to drive commercial expansion across Europe & the US. The organisation enables multinational brands to communicate, train, and operate effectively on a global scale through high-quality, technology-enabled multilingual solutions. Reporting directly to the CRO, this role offers a significant opportunity to influence European commercial strategy, shape market presence, and secure high-value enterprise partnerships with some of the world’s most recognisable brands.


Role Purpose

The Business Development Manager will lead new business acquisition across Europe & US, developing and executing a regional sales strategy that accelerates revenue growth and uncovers new opportunities. Success in this role requires a consultative, insight-driven sales approach, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across marketing, L&D, digital, and operational functions. Key Responsibilities


Strategic

• Define and execute the sales strategy in alignment with regional and global leadership

• Shape the regional go-to-market approach, ensuring strong competitive positioning andclear differentiation

• Represent the organisation at industry events, conferences, and forums to elevatebrand visibility

• Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and client needs to refine strategy andidentify new growth opportunities


Business Development & Sales Execution

• Identify, engage, and convert new enterprise opportunities using a consultative,solutions-led approach

• Build and manage a high-quality pipeline through proactive networking, prospecting, and relationship development

• Lead contract negotiations for new business across Europe, collaborating with senior leadership on commercial terms

• Manage the full sales cycle from initial engagement to close, ensuring a seamless transition to Account Management and Client Delivery

• Conduct regular in-person meetings, presentations, and Quarterly Business Reviews with key clients


Sales Operations & Reporting

• Maintain accurate pipeline and activity tracking within the CRM (HubSpot) and tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator

• Deliver reliable revenue forecasts and provide regular updates to regional leadership

• Analyse sales performance, win/loss trends, and market data to generate actionable insights

• Ensure all client communications, proposals, and documentation are accurately recorded and compliant with internal processes

Collaboration & Client Success

• Partner with Account Management to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing client satisfaction

• Work closely with Marketing team to tailor messaging, campaigns, and solution positioning for the UK, European and US markets

• Act as a trusted advisor to enterprise clients, aligning solutions with their strategic and operational objectives


Candidate Profile

Experience & Qualifications

• Degree preferred; equivalent experience considered

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in mid-to-large-scale Digital Content, Language Services/Tech, and/or Marketing Communications

• Proven track record of winning and managing complex enterprise deals

• Fluent English; additional European languages highly advantageous

•Skilled presenter, confident in both in-person and remote delivery
