Position overview
Reporting to an Operations leadership role, the Operations Engineering Specialist will support and enhance manufacturing and logistics activities related to implantable medical devices. The position focuses on process optimization, technical documentation, and operational readiness, helping to strengthen manufacturing capabilities and support clinical and early commercial phases.
Key responsibilities
- Support, maintain, and improve manufacturing processes and systems with a focus on efficiency, quality, and robustness
- Oversee and support incoming material inspection activities and related documentation
- Analyze operational and quality data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Drive process improvements, including workflow optimization and selective automation initiatives
- Prepare medical devices for clinical application and support timely shipment execution
- Create, update, and maintain technical and operational documentation
- Ensure compliance with applicable quality and regulatory requirements for medical devices
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across operations, quality, engineering, and supply chain
- Coordinate with external suppliers and partners regarding planning, deliverables, and performance
- Prepare structured reports on operational metrics, quality observations, and improvement actions
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical discipline (e.g., medical technology, engineering, or related field)
- Ability to work independently with a structured and reliable approach
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Clear communication skills and strong documentation discipline
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, detail-oriented environment
Preferred
- Prior experience in medical device manufacturing or operations
- Familiarity with regulated environments and quality management systems
