Role Summary

As Head of Technology & Engineering, you will take ownership of the technical roadmap and execution strategy for a complex, connected hardware platform. Working closely with founders and key stakeholders, you will translate an ambitious product vision into a manufacturable, compliant, and market-ready solution.

This role is designed for an experienced engineering leader who has successfully guided sophisticated hardware products from early concept through industrialization and launch. Deep medical device expertise is not mandatory; proven delivery experience in regulated or high-reliability hardware environments is essential.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Product Ownership

• Drive the evolution from early-stage concepts and prototypes to a fully approved, production-ready device
• Establish and oversee an iterative, user-driven development process that rapidly incorporates feedback from real-world use
• Balance technical excellence, usability, regulatory constraints, and time-to-market considerations

Leadership & Team Development

• Build, lead, and mentor a multidisciplinary team spanning hardware, software, and applied engineering disciplines
• Create an environment that encourages accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
• Enable effective collaboration across technical and non-technical functions to ensure alignment from idea to deployment

Cross-Functional & External Collaboration

• Act as a key technical counterpart to clinical partners, regulatory specialists, and external advisors
• Ensure that quality, safety, and compliance requirements are met while maintaining development momentum
• Support decision-making at leadership level with clear technical insights and risk assessments
